HONG KONG, June 16, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Global Cord Blood Corporation (NYSE: CO, “GCBC” or the “Company”), China leading provider of cord blood collection, laboratory testing, hematopoietic stem cell processing and stem cell storage services, noted that on June 3, 2022 Blue Ocean Structure Investment Company Limited (the “Applicant”) has issued a notice to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company (“the so-called EGM”) to be held on June 16, 2022.
The Company’s position is that this EGM was not validly convened. The so-called EGM was convened without the required threshold of 75% having been reached.
The Company considers it inappropriate to comment on the matters presented for the so-called EGM at this stage. These issues are currently being debated live at the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands.
