LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Air Lease Corporation (NYSE:AL) today announced long-term leases for six Boeing 737-8s from LOT Polish Airlines. All aircraft are scheduled to be delivered to LOT in October 2022 and will add to the five Boeing 737-8s and one Dreamliner currently leased to the Polish airline by ALC.
“We are honored and delighted to extend our long relationship with LOT by leasing six modern 737-8 jet aircraft from the airline, in addition to the six aircraft currently on lease, doubling the size of the portfolio held by ALC to 12 aircraft at BATCH. ALC has played an important role in LOT’s recent fleet modernization program since late 2017 and these six additional aircraft will support LOT’s network and development strategy,” said Steven F. “LOT is in the process of selecting a new fleet in the regional and narrowbody segment. Until a supplier is selected, we plan to procure aircraft as a transition solution – the first Embraer 175 and 190 have already joined the LOT Polish Airlines fleet and will soon be followed by the Boeing 737-8.
