The class, in this case, has not yet been certified, and until certification occurs, you are not represented by an attorney. If you choose to do nothing, you can remain an absent member of the group.
According to the complaint, the company made false and misleading statements to the market. IBM artificially inflated revenue and growth from strategic imperatives, CAMSS revenue and growth (the “Cloud”, “Analytics”, “Mobile”, “Security” and “Social” segments) and other business metrics related through a system of reclassifying revenues from non-strategic to strategic. The Company’s growth prospects in Strategic Imperatives were actually fueled by this reclassification plan, not by organic growth. Based on these facts, the Company’s public statements were false and materially misleading throughout the Class Period. When the market learned the truth about IBM, investors suffered damage.
